Ok, ok, thanks ! SNG Barrat sells in FR too, and UK is closer to me, ok. My Mechanic (retired but helps his son) Work since 40y on old Jags and others, I think I will let him do the job when it will be the moment then. Thanks Glynn. Of course at first I will give you news from my visit by next week-...
Hi Gentlemen, Here is again the apprentice  Completely new in pre-leyland and S type as you know. The S I will see next does not have the wire wheels. And I want to go for Wire wheels. It' a late 67MY, so these wheels should fit (chrome from the start), and the smaler spinner if I'm right ? htt...
Yes that would be usefull ! By ending the MK2 in 67, may be their colours could be possible for the laters S then (?).

Not available in new I guess the Marles Adwest Variomatic ? May be I will ask you then for some contacts in the UK where I could find one

Not PAS cars give me a more sporty sensation, as I better feel the grip, if the tyres grip or loose. I will decide after a while if I ad PAS or not. M...
I have another newby question.... Of the fact that the S type have a steering box and not a rack. Do they have play in the Steering ? (I mean like old US cars ?..) or not.
The car i will try next, and to buy, has no PAS.
Thanks !
