Re: Almost a unique collision

I know how easy it is to focus on your test drive and lose sight of "the world" around you. I am always trying to take in my immediate surroundings when I have my 66 out- i.e.- the view of the leaper, the wood trim, the thinness of the wheel.... Im glad no damage was incurred though!

Re: SU Carburettor Float Lid Bolt

Now that Ive looked at that yet again and thought about it, I do believe I remember going through that little dilemma. I probably used the "one handed wrench set" on it as is shown in Cass' post. On the other hand, I thought that I had read something stating that Whitworth fasteners had be...

For what its worth, I was able to get a correct used one from Vintage Jag in Blackfoot Idaho. I think I paid $35 for it. A very knowledgeable guy.

Re: tire size for 66

I will attempt to answer my own somewhat simple question. I measured my current 205/70/15 tires at 26 inches diameter on the car. I went to both Tire Rack and Coker Tire's websites and compared their specs of near sized tires' "actual" mounted and inflated diameters. As was mentioned in Jo...

tire size for 66

Hi all. I have read the thread of Jose's about his tire replacement from 2021, and since I don't think my problem is similar, the question bears trying again. My car, 77903, currently has 205/70/15 tires on it. We got them shortly after we got the car- it was desperate for tires. I did not have a sp...
