Re: The passing of Dave Reilly.
Only this morning I received my Shelly Jack sticker in the post from David. My thoughts are with his family and wife Patricia.

Re: The passing of Dave Reilly.
was just made aware of David's passing by Rob. So sad, David and I were to get together here in Phoenix in April. He was so intent upon getting enough of the knowledge he had out to everyone who had an interest in these wonderful cars. He was a good man, and a wonderful friend to the whole automotive community. He will be dearly missed.

So sorry to hear this, he will be sorely missed as his knowledge and enthusiasm for our cars was immense. My thoughts are with Patricia and family.

Such sad news. I came on to get some info and was shocked by this. I missed seeing David at a club drive last weekend - I had a question for him about my S-Type. He was such a gentleman and an irreplaceable source of Jaguar knowledge. He will indeed be greatly missed. My condolences to Patricia.

Sincere condolences to the family from the Isle of Man. I've only been a member for less than a year but exchanged several chatty emails with David. God Bless!

My condolences as well. He was truly the consummate S Type advocate and promoter.

Re: The passing of Dave Reilly.
Well, I realise my words will be a little late and I apologise for not visiting sooner to learn this sad news.
Yes, like many members of the forum and the S-type Register, I've had many discussions with David in recent years, particularly in my quest to make my S-type as accurate as I can reasonably get it. He was always charming and helpful, sending photos of obscure original bits on his car that I sought images of and bringing to mind where such topics were covered in the Register Newsletter. I know we'll miss his encyclopaedic knowledge, not just of the S-type itself, but of the newsletter archive and all the knowledge around the car's design, manufacture, selling and marketing.
My condolences go to Patricia, who shared so many of David's S-type experiences, and his family.

My thanks also go to Tom for passing on my brief letter to the family. It kept bouncing back by e mail. David's reach was far & broad.
