Blimey, no simple answer then, as a matter of interest what oil filters do you use Glyn on your S Type. I will carry on using the Mann oil filter supplied with the Flexolite kit it appears well made hopefully the internals are as good.

Dave ~ she has a Genuine Jag filter in her now ~ still running in. Have a stock of Mann H 827/1 n for use thereafter. Mann + Hummel make excellent filters.

Careful Glyn some folk might take this as being Erotic talk and you could be banned from the site.Glyn Ruck wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 4:55 pm Dave ~ it is a whole long list of reasons as long as your arm. Difference between nominal & absolute rating of the media, area of media, consistency of the media, pump through, debris carrying capacity before the pressure differential across the media is such that you go into bypass, Beta Ratio on multipass. Particle size distribution that get's through the media, performance under pulsating flow, flow at different temperatures ~ ad infinitum.

LOL! ~ Oil industry habits die hard. Keeping lubricants clear of contaminants is half the battle.
