Re: Locked brakes

John, thanks for your comments. Having rebuilt the brake system quite a few years ago, I had to go back to the manual to refresh my memory on how things work. There are only the two ports on the master cylinder - from the reservoir and to the system with a seal on the end of a valve to prevent fluid...

Re: Locked brakes

For some reason last night, I started to think about the locked brakes problem on the S Type and thought maybe I would look into a new servo as I remembered thinking that was a possible solution. I Googled Jaguar 3.8S brake servo and one of the search results was something titled "Locked Brakes...

Re: Air cleaner intake hose bracket and clip

Hi Glyn, Happy New Year. Measuring along the top of the hose where the bend is the tightest, the length is 16" from the tip of the sloped end to the square end on the air cleaner tube. As I said previously, I oriented the hose so the longest section of the cut end is on top and that point proje...

Re: Air cleaner intake hose bracket and clip

Glyn, That looks exactly like the NOS hose I got from David Reilly. I installed it with the longest end of the cut up to keep the bottom end of the hose as far from the fan belt as possible. Not sure if that's the correct orientation but it made some sense. Sorry, best photo I could get. Happy to he...

Re: Air cleaner intake hose bracket and clip

Glyn, It's been a while since I installed my engine, but if the engine centerline is not aligned with the rear stabilizer, that may mean that the engine is not sitting correctly in the engine mount cradles. Aren't there slotted holes in those? I thought the function of the front stabilizers was just...

Re: Air cleaner intake hose bracket and clip

Glyn & Orlando, A fellow who purchased one of my seals said he found a pipe that he thinks works perfectly. Here is the link to the site: https://www.heatso.com/espar-eberspacher-and-webasto-apk-ducting-75mm-1-meter/ It looks pretty much like the original to me. Davinius77 Check your PMs. There ...

Re: Air cleaner intake hose bracket and clip

Hi David, I still have the full size pattern, so if you give me your address, I'll send a copy. You will be able to make the parts, no problem. I also have for sale the rubber seal that connects the air hose to the end of the air cleaner if yours is missing. I think my ad is still listed in the foru...
