The goal was to increase performance and spend as little as possible.
Performance was measured and modeled by flow, pressure and air temp.
The metal mesh filters were $45.00.
The velocity stacks (2) were .12 cents.
A little US ingenuity goes a long way.

A friend that is an engineer at Cummins Diesel enjoyed the video.
He agrees with both of you !

Re: 3D printing velocity stacks ..
Glyn and Rob’s
Thank you for your advice.
I have ordered Coverings for the metal mesh covers pictured of a polyester water repellant fabric with uniform micron openings that stops dust particles.
Should arrive in a couple of weeks.

No room for the MK10 box see pic.
Stock intake heats up from the header and acts as a hot box.
There isn’t path past the radiator to fresh cool air.

Re: 3D printing velocity stacks ..
The filter is made up of 3 metal meshes.
The inner mesh is stainless steel 70/80 mesh. More than adaquate.

Re: 3D printing velocity stacks ..
1st model is horn with smooth sides. More turbulence and has areas of high flows
2nd model is horn with dimples. Uniform flow over a greater area in the carb inlet.

Re: 3D printing velocity stacks ..
Solidworks shows the effect of the bend is significant. The bend is is less of a degree than the stock plenum. I will look at what a 1 1/2” straight stack flow looks like. Their are advantages to a taller stack .. a positive effect on top end performance.
