Well, I realise my words will be a little late and I apologise for not visiting sooner to learn this sad news.
Yes, like many members of the forum and the S-type Register, I've had many discussions with David in recent years, particularly in my quest to make my S-type as accurate as I can reasonably get it. He was always charming and helpful, sending photos of obscure original bits on his car that I sought images of and bringing to mind where such topics were covered in the Register Newsletter. I know we'll miss his encyclopaedic knowledge, not just of the S-type itself, but of the newsletter archive and all the knowledge around the car's design, manufacture, selling and marketing.
My condolences go to Patricia, who shared so many of David's S-type experiences, and his family.
