It is great that some decent looking alternatives are now available.

In the past many resorted to this sort of material that IMHO looks out of place.

I've finally got the bonnet insulation fitted my XJ , not easy to do as you only get one crack at it when sticking it on.

In the end I went for the SNG Baratt Mark 2 'Insul Kit' and it has worked very well. It doesn't look remotely original but it does the job well (insulating!) and looks smart.

Yes ~ as you say not original but extremely neat!
