Re: Engine bay notice or decal missing.
To my knowledge there is no decal register in one place here & they vary LHD to RHD & year. Alan Wiedie is the man for LHD & Orlando for RHD. I've posted a few knowns as well such as coil. I'm going through the decal phase at present & will happily collate when that is finished but I'm trying to get my car registered & on the road first.
Main decals that come to mind are:
Coil
Brake Fluid
PAS reservoir lid
Horn Relay
Fan motor (red or white)
Battery (LUCAS)
Made in England some cars
Side of regulator cover that I doubt you will find
Trico & Screenjet older cars
Running In
Trip reset
Bluecol "U" ~ some cars
Wiper Motor ~ some cars
Etc.
I expect a bun fight as to what was original for what year. I have not researched if +ve & -ve earth yellow plates were fitted ex factory & if so to which cars yet.

Re: Engine bay notice or decal missing.
well it is obvious something was screwed there! The question is, was it factory, dealer, or owner ?
I have checked online and found zero 1-screw-in-the-center tags anywhere, they are all 2-screws or stick-on stickers or decals.

Re: Engine bay notice or decal missing.
I encourage people to add their experience with factory fitted decals, positions & years ~ LHD ~ RHD etc. Then we can try & make some sense of it. Pics will help.Glyn Ruck wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 4:41 pm To my knowledge there is no decal register in one place here & they vary LHD to RHD & year. Alan Wiedie is the man for LHD & Orlando for RHD. Re: Engine bay notice or decal missing.
frankly, I don't care for engine compartment decals or stickers, if they have fallen off, dried out, peeled off, dissapeared, let it be.
Having said that, I found the rarest of the rare below and I am considering where in the front windscreen to stick it to match my license plate...

Re: Engine bay notice or decal missing.
The correct position of the machine applied sticker/decal on the coil is 1/4" down from the top crimping & centered between the CB & SW LT lugs. I will let you decide which decal is appropriate for your MY car. My best research to date suggests it has to be one of these two for all positive earth 3.8 cars.
For the really picky note accurate "A" & "S" font in LUCAS on these decals.

Re: Engine bay notice or decal missing.
Correct fan motor decals in either white or red. Some cars had these screened or stamped on in white.
