This was still in build. e.g no wiper arms, & in Krugersdorp, Johannesburg where my restorer lives. (known as the highveld by South Africans. Approx 1000 Kms from where the car resides now and at 6000 ft above sea level. Highveld cars have zero rust & sub-tropical Durban cars the worst. Mine lived it's entire life on the highveld.

Alas, Alan not a single pic on this thread has been taken by me. Mainly my restorer, friends, phones etc.

I suffer from familial tremor and not even my Canon's anti shake can tame my shaking. It's tripod or nothing, monopod might give me one decent shot in 5. There is always someone out there worse off than you are. At least it's hereditary & not Parkinson's. It's winter here but in the spring I will clean the car & get a friend to take a whole suite if pics & post. So do you want mountain backgrounds, green backgrounds or the sea in the background? Lol! I guess we can do a mix.

Llandudno, Cape Town where I live.

Two S Types got together today at a local cars & coffee event in nearby Creswell, Oregon. John Quilter's white one and Jerry Liudahl's blue one. Other British cars present as well. The other local S Type did not attend, owner came in his Lotus Elan roadster instead.

This is a wedding I arranged a couple of months ago where I managed to get four S Type Jaguars together to transport the Bride and Groom along with all the brides maids.
A 1966 in sand gold, a 1967 and two 1968s. Second time I have managed to get all four together at a wedding.

The Chief Concours Judge of South Africa has just valued my car for insurance.

He rates it as the best S Type in the country.

He rated the car at 100 points Plus.

I'm smiling from ear to ear & delighted.

Now I will have it in writing to frame that I got there. This is no trailer queen & I can now drive it & enjoy it.
