Looks fabulous! Really nice job of finishing. Forty three years ago, not knowing any better, and being very familiar with how satin polyurethane worked, I restored my wood in satin. It looks nice but is much better, and more original, in gloss. Maybe I'll redo it in my next life.

Thanks everyone. Yes, the radio is from Retro Sound. It is a Motor 1A model. The wood oval shows ever so little on each side when looking at an angle, but I can live with it. All the modern features and the retro look. Starting the doors on Sat.

I realized that I posted this update on Glyn's thread. It has been deleted. I am sorry Glyn. I saw everyone's comments and they are appreciated. You may want to delete your posts so as to not screw up Glyn's thread. I will come back later and delete this post as well. Thanks for your understanding and patience with this old man.

I see you have gone for the polished brass top on the radiator Joe. Good choice.
Question though, you have got the radiator in but I see no fan attached nor radiator cowling and I recall from fitting mine that the fan and cowling have to go in before the radiator. There is no room to do the nuts up on the fan and no room to get the cowling between the fan and the radiator. Very tight fit.
Also when you do have the fan on and are lowing the radiator into position make sure you have a piece of cardboard protecting the back of the radiator or else the fan blades will damage the fins on the radiator.
