I just realized that I posted my dash items and radiator on Glyn's car page.......Sorry Glyn....I am losing it. I asked Jose if he could move my posts....if he can't, I will delete and repost on my car's thread.

Rob....I had no problem getting the radiator in with the fan in place. I thought the cowling went on after the radiator was installed since it bolts to the radiator. I will have to review what I did and make it right. First, I need to find the cowling....LOL.

Joe you are right the cowling does bolt to the back of the radiator but the gap between the fan and the back of the radiator is so small the cowling which is in one piece will not go between them. You have to hang the cowling over the fan then lower the radiator down into place. Once the radiator is in you can then bolt the cowling to the radiator. It is a very fiddly job which is why I suggested the cardboard on the back of the radiator. It might have been better if the cowling had a split in the bottom which allowed you to thread it over the top of the fan but mine is all one piece like a large ring and it had to go in lying on the fan whilst the radiator was lowered in. I think from factory the engine came in from the bottom with the radiator already in place and the fan was able to slide forwards in to position in the cowling which was already bolted to the radiator.

I thought South Africa banned black and white photos in 1991 when the apartheid act was repealed?

You have some nice photos there Glyn. Very arty and really show off what a good job you did with the car.

I'm at present working on my complete Toolkit ~ with the steel & wood variety case. I have had the wooden tray re-flocked & I've resprayed the metalwork. Just screw heads to be painted & then reassembly.

As stated the kit is complete & correct but I have a question.

Does anybody know what year the Tyre Valve Extractor moved from Brass to Yellow Plastic? I have both.
