Interesting video but that fellow was a little hard to take, could he possibly have crammed more words into 24 minutes?

Lots of words but at least he knew what he was talking about which previous presenters of Videos about the S Type did not do.
One thing I have to question and Glyn will know the answer to this. When Jaguar sent the bodies of the S Type to South Africa as CKD cars did they really cut the roofs off and then weld them back on? Not heard this before but I am sure Glyn will know the truth.

The seats look original, but I did not know they were an option. Noted in the video below.

As far as I am aware Jaguar only did leather or a material called Ambla which was a leather look vinyl. Those seats do not look original as the sides have been cleaned up and I think the material has been sewn in rather than buy the original pattern seat squab. It would be interesting to see the back seats to see if they have been given the same treatment as back seats don't wear out like the front seats do.Bingo wrote: ↑Sun Jun 04, 2023 10:47 am The seats look original, but I did not know they were an option. The car looks good from the outside but a little attention is needed in the engine bay which looks really tatty and spoils the car.
