I always thought this was a strange bit of rubber on the car. It is supposed to keep the water off the electrics when the bonnet is closed but as soon as you open the bonnet all the water runs down to the back edge and literally pours over the top of the starter solenoid and battery. (This only happens if you take your car out in the rain I suppose.) I know the starter solenoid has a metal cover over the top and the battery should have a plastic cover but even so the water still pours in. Pointless piece of rubber water seal or does it have another purpose perhaps as a bonnet anti vibration strip?

That was my other thought Glyn as it serves no purpose as a water seal. It does not even go the full width of the bonnet!

Joe, correct me if i'm wrong but in the photos of the door cards I can't see the top roll in the vinal as in the the photo from the previous page. when I bought my new ones from BAS they didn't have the top roll moulded in and I had to send them back to have them remade.
