If the car is already painted how do you intend to attach the front wings?
Mine are welded on and that would surely ruin any paint work completed.

It seems that the quarter light glasses could all be indexed on a random side, and it appears the main door glasses could also be random.

My car is marked opposite to Robs, that is L/Hand quarter light marked on inside. It also has random main window indexing, although it is possible they could have been swapped during rebuild.

However the parts manual does not make any distinction between right or left glasses, the same part number is used for both. This also applies to the glass fitted to the Mk2 models and 340 cars.

Does that apply to rear quarter window glasses as well?

The parts manual for the S Type, Mk2 and 340 all show identical part numbers for left and right rear quarter light glasses.

On my car the left hand rear quarter light glass is marked on the inside.

Currently I am unable to look at other windows, as my car is up on my lift with the rear subframe removed for axle and brake replacement.

It might be interesting to know how member’s windscreen and rear windows are marked!!!

Body works have been already completed and gaps are just fine.
