I think all of us, & that includes me because I also err, should wherever possible call things what Jaguar calls them. It makes the Register an even more valuable resource & searching for parts in the manuals etc. far easier. It avoids confusion. A very good example is the boot lid handle/reverse light/number plate light fitting/assembly. You correctly call it the "plinth" I think we should all try to do this.

that is funny, because nobody calls it "plinth" except me. Everybody calls it "the chromed reverse lights housing".

Yes ~ this Register is a wonderful & underutilised resource. I think we should all try & use the Jaguar name for parts & if applicable give a Part Number.

And of course "A picture is worth a thousand words".

I have those Lucas H4 headlamps too. They're not as nicely made as the Wipac ones I sold, but they do look more period correct and the light output is good.

BTW, I call it a plinth, too, because it does help when you're searching for these things on ebay.

Yeah ~ I wanted Lucas on the lens. I upgraded the bulbs at a marginal increase in cost.
