Steel (hub-cap) wheels

Post by jaguar&mg »

I am considering reversing the process of spoked wheels having been added to one of my S types (they were added about 30 years into the car's life) but would quite like to go new or refurbished rather than second-hand.

But in any case, other than Ebay, I don't know where to look to find them. I am in the UK. There are plenty of places to buy spoked wheels but, unless I have missed something, they don't seem to have the hub-cap wheels and caps. I'd like them with the optional chrome surrounds, as specified when my car was ordered new in November 1964.

Can't help with the wheels but I do have a set of embellisher rings hanging in my garage which came off my car when I converted to wires. I sold the wheels and the hubcaps but for some reason still have about 6 or 7 embellisher rings left.

I think I've found some good s/h steels (four hours away, but before Christmas I hope) and they don't have embellisher rings so I would love to be in contact about them, Cass.

No problem send me a PM with your email address and I will send you photos of them, I have more than five I think most in good or reasonable condition. I sold my steel wheels 5 or 6 years ago but no one wanted the embellishers so they are just hung up in the garage.

The ones I have are for the standard Jaguar 15 inch steel rims.
