heater control reservac tank check valve

Post by badger »

hi all
i have today started this years attempt to get the jag on the road
so all i have left to do is fix an oil leak, replace the sub frame bushes, and plumb the brakes in.
so today i decided to do the brakes and first vacum hose i got to was the one attached to the above
the unit fell in to 2 bits (great).
ive looked on ebay and they want £80 (gulp)
has anyone else replaced one and where did you get it
or has anyone repaired theres i might be able to glue it back together ?

Rob. Just be careful not to muddle Brake vacuum valve with heater vacuum valve. They are different. Side of vacuum switch feed does not make any difference. 420 valve is suitable for S Type as confirmed on Barratts page.

Don't know why someone would try and sell a used one for £80 when you can buy new for £60. There is a secondhand one on EBay for £20. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152631714616 ... CEQAvD_BwE
Not going to get to my boxes until tomorrow.
