Rear seat belt anchor eye bolts.
I am in the process of fitting rear seat belts and wanted to know if the anchor eye bolts just screw into their respective holes without a washer on first or any lock nut and washer securing underside the body. I managed to buy a complete set of good secondhand original front seat belts to match my front ones fitted but without the 6 anchor eye bolts hence the question. Do I just buy 6 anchor bolts that fit my belt buckles long enough to go though the body or long enough for washers and lock nut ?.
I will get the new belts made up from F.D.T.S. in West Byfleet similar to Stan's rear seat belt installation.

It's a good few years ago, so my memory's a bit hazy, but hopefully some of the following will be of use.
Front Belts
There are 2 chromed eyebolt anchors plus one chromed top bracket per belt. I didn't replace the original eybolts but they just screw in with out lockwashers. FDTS supplied me a rechromed cranked swivel top bracket which is fitted with a spacer under the bracket, and is free to swivel.

The top bracket on the parcel shelf is another chromed cranked swivel and chromed bolt with spacer underneath. Forthe lower belt and buckle brackets, which are hidden from view, I specified plated semi-cranked swivels.

Dave likewise from memory the eye bolts just screw direct into the threaded holes that Jaguar fitted to the car in the back. Some early cars will not have the threaded holes in the floor but the later cars will and should be fitted with a plaque on the left side inner wing which states the car is fitted with seat belt anchorages which comply with BS. AU. 48 1965. As yours car is 1965 it might have the plaque and correct holes. Under the back seat in the centre there are two screw threaded holes which on mine had rubber plugs inserted to protect the threads as they were not used for seat belts from the factory but these were removed so I could screw the eye bolts in.
There are two similar threaded holes under the parcel shelf and two more on the inner wheel arch just under the back seat. These last two if you have not had seat belts fitted and a bit of rust worm has got in will need to be looked at. Mine were rusted out and my previous owner had plated the inner wing but not replaced the anchor points. I had to buy two seat belt anchor plates (the type you would use in a rally car) which are placed against the inner wing and the eye bolt comes through the inner wing from the inside and the plate holds it all in place.

Thanks Rob for the extra info, I do have all the 6 holes threaded with the plastic screw bungs in the 4 holes under the rear seat cushion which I tapped out and greased up last year. Fortunately all the holes are in original sound metal with no rust or rot. I was just checking if the new anchor bolts just screw into the thread holes with no washers or lock nuts. My front ones have not been touched to check as the carpets & underlay do not have to be removed, just the carpet cleaned before the seats & centre consul are refitted.
Where is the B.S. plate situated inside the front wing as I cannot see one at present without pulling the car out of the garage, as it's raining again I will check another day.

This should give you a better view. It is positioned on the inner wing in the engine bay on the left side between the PAS reservoir and the Electric box. The plate is mounted upside down so you can read it looking over the top of the left wing.
I did not use any washers or lock nuts on any of my eye bolts.

I have checked no B.S.plate fitted or holes on that part of the inner wing, although all the seat belt anchor holes are in place and threaded. The build date is August 1965 of my S Type, perhaps the B.S. plate was fitted by Jaguar after that date.

As the BS date is 1965 one would assume that it was not put on to the S type until 1966 at the earliest as it would have had to have been added to the build sheet and that would not have been done over night.

FWIW, my November 1964 build 1965 3.8S has the anchor fittings but no underhood label. Label must have been a legislative requirement at some point.

The plaque might not have been added to export cars as BS stands for British Standard.
On the internet if you put BS. AU. 48 in it shows a lot of European cars had a similar plaque but only for cars that were being exported to the UK market and then British cars like Triumph had them again to comply with the British Standard on seat belt fittings. US cars might have had the seat belt fittings but no plaque as the USA would have its own seat belt fitting standard and UK cars would not have had it prior to 1966.

Well just for laughs I went out and checked my 1969 Austin and it has a label but it is part of the plate that also shows the VIN and is attached to the hood shut panel.
