FOUND: Heater control or vent lever control knob BD25857

Post by jonesdl »

I am still after a heater control lever knob or the centre consul vent lever knob BD25857 to replace my broken one poorly stuck together. There have been a couple on Ebay complete with the vent control complete or the dash but unfortunately the sellers would not separate the knob on it's own.
Appreciate if you can keep a look out please as this knob shape only appears to be fitted to the 63-68 S Type.
Cheers

Hi Rob.
Unfortunately I am unable to make it as I am one of the main officials at a classic motorcycle racing weekend, every race weekend this year has clashed with a Jaguar event so after 10 years I gave notice in April that this will be my last year, time for a change you cannot do it all.

I would appreciate if you can keep a look out, you know the shape of the knob I am looking for from the photo's I sent you recently and from Cody's photo on the register.

Incidentally did you pick up my earlier emails I sent about a few parts I was interested from your list sent through and from a P.M. on the register a couple of weeks ago now ?.
Regards

Hi Tom.
Yes, that is the one, the 63-68 S Type appears to be the only Jaguar model with that type of control knob on the heater and rear vent on the centre consul.
If you are willing to part with a good one then please let me know how to pay you for it from the U.K.
You are so lucky to have a spares car, a complete rust bucket is a fortune in the U.K.

Thank you so much Tom, it's held on with a small grub screw a flat blade small screwdriver will do the job. Please let me know any costs involved as I am very grateful to at last find one, hopefully it will be in good condition.
Kind regards
