Gas pedal linkages
Gas pedal linkages
Anyone knows wether the bushes at the end of the throttle linkage should be placed inside cab or at the engine bay?

Re: Gas pedal linkages
It's a while since we fitted the throttle linkages but from what I remember there is just a tube through the scuttle that you can access from both sides.
i.e . interior or engine compartment.

Re: Gas pedal linkages
Jose did post a copy of parts catalogue which is really helpful. Sometimes it does not match totally though.
Also, the above pictures attached do not show the complete linkage. There is another rod passing from driver to passenger side and it has got two bushes to be riveted at the sides. I am not sure if the bushes are to be placed inside car or from engine compartment side.

Re: Gas pedal linkages
Fill in the details of your car's model year & whether it is Manual/OD or Automatic. LHD or RHD
There was a throttle pedal upgrade on later cars & I have shown the Manual throttle. The Auto is different.

Re: Gas pedal linkages
We posted over one another. Then I presume your car is a RHD Automatic????? Answers are only as good as the information that you provide about your car. Ask questions clearly & give full information.
Also remember that over the years your car may have been modified away from standard as shown in the manual. Don't consider your car right & the manuals wrong. The reverse will likely apply.
The information we provide on forums is for everybody's benefit ~ not only yours. So we provide more information than asked for in some of our answers.

Re: Gas pedal linkages
This image of my car (RHD DG auto) before restoration might help. Download and zoom in to see a bit more clearly.

Re: Gas pedal linkages
Wonderful (duly archived) ~ I was searching for just such a pic last night but could not find one. Both my donors started life as Autos but I did not have a suitable pic. & none in my general archive because I was concentrating on Manual, OD's, RHD
I see this was prior to fitment of Variomatic PAS.

Re: Gas pedal linkages
Happy to oblige, Glyn. Just wish I'd taken about 100 more of the details. Yes, the Varamatic PAS was retro-fitted after restoration.

Re: Gas pedal linkages
This might help as it is a top and side on view from my 3.4 BW35 Auto linkage when I was stripping it down.
