Dear Jose

Correct !!!!
The subject is the automatic transmission and the dipstick is for transmission oil

Thanks Jose why me? lol.
All I know about the transmission oil is that it has to be pink and not smell burnt. If it is on the mark of the dipstick that is fine. The gearbox can leak, we all know that by the state of the underside of our cars at some point. Jaguar used to say it was their anti rust system at work. So as long as the fluid is Pink, not burnt and is up to the mark all is fine.

if the oil is not burnt, leave it alone, changing the fluid is not the answer to automatic shifter problems.

It is probably the bands needing adjusting or replacing.

You can disconnect the solenoid under the car to see if it shifts to third gear.

there is a video in youtube by a crazy mechanic called Scotty and he explains why you should not change the transmission fluid.
