Re: Wanted Heater control or vent lever control knob BD25857

Hi Tom. Yes, that is the one, the 63-68 S Type appears to be the only Jaguar model with that type of control knob on the heater and rear vent on the centre consul. If you are willing to part with a good one then please let me know how to pay you for it from the U.K. You are so lucky to have a spares...

Re: Tie Rod End

That is a great result all your hard work has paid off, hopefully I will not have to undertake a similar task soon. On to the next job on your S type now then.

Re: Radiator disaster.

Further to my earlier post I have now checked my front engine mountings and I do have the stabiliser arrangement, my car was built August 1965. So assume I should not have a similar problem to Rob's of the engine going forwards to damage the radiator. Although perhaps prudent to check the top rubber...

Is their a MB spec for this oil also that I can look for please. I tend to use Castrol on everything so I would check out their products. I couldn't see a que...

Re: Engine Oil MB 229.5

A question for Glyn regarding the MB 229.5 oil. Having looked at various fully synthetic engine oils for my S type 3.8 in the U.K. I cannot find an oil that is straight MB 229.5 approved only, but was looking at the Castrol Edge Fluid Titanium 5w-40 MB approved 229.31, 229.51 and 226.5. I would valu...
