Re: Radius Arm Install
I refitted my IRS by the book including the ride hight setting with links I made to the correct dimensions and had the monts slack but still had problems aligning the radius arms with the mounts. I always get the weight of the car settled with the front suspension before tightening the bush bolts/nu...

Re: Radius Arm Install
When I installed the radius arms after an extensive rebuild I had the same problem. The only way I could get it to line up was with the use of a ratchet strap on the wishbone and the other end on anything immovable (without pulling the car off any stands!). You might like to put a bit of copper grea...

Re: Setting up Inhibitor switch
If it's any help the 35 was fitted to lots of other cars including Rover's and Ford's, have a search online for any workshop manuals that might show the switch and wiring - just thought.

Re: E10 fuel in the UK
That's good to know John, I'll be using our 97/99 octaine fuel on my Jaguars anyway that has only a max of 5% ethanol as I find they go better on it. It's only 10 pence a litre more.

Re: gear changing early
Looking at the wiring diagram on this site the yellow/purple and green go to the anti creap switch and the yellow /red goes to the solenoid. Unfortunately I can't verify this on my car as I put the DG box in the skip decade's ago.

Re: gear changing early
The gearbox looks like a DG and the solenoid is the intermediate speed hold, the item bolted to the floor is the anti creap device as Cass said so definitely not a manual overdrive.

The hose you need to look out for is marked R9, an example of the pipe from a dealer - https://www.thehosemaster.co.uk/r9-unle ... fuel-hose/
I replaced all mine last year as they were already getting porous and had a smell of fuel in the boot.

Re: Locked up brakes
I've seen this before with Jaguars, I was with my brother attending a Jaguar meeting at Beaulieu in his Mk2 and his brakes locked up when we went to leave the field. We had to crack open one of the brake pipes to release the fluid pressure, we got as far as the exit to the New Forest when they locke...

Re: Jaguar Drivers Club National Day, 25 July 2021
That looks like a great turnout. I well know the feeling of getting back to a good soaking of Jaguars after the last couple of years, I just wish I could have got there.

Re: Left hand front door lock required.
The metal is known as Mazak or pot metal and as Glyn said has a high zinc content, it's the same metal as the door handles and number plate/reversing lamp casting. It can be soldered with care as it will fall to bits with too much heat, you could give lumiweld a go https://www.amazon.co.uk/EsportsMJ...
