Re: Inboard Rear Calipers

If you can't find any S Type calipers have a look at Zeus brakes https://www.zeus.uk.com/product-category/classic-callipers-jaguars/ that are a direct replacement at a reasonable price compared to having original one rebuilt. Be careful of "over braking" the rear brakes as the balance coul...

Re: 3D printing velocity stacks ..

"The goal was to increase performance and spend as little as possible" My objective was the same, the 2" SU's that were scavenged from a scrap 420 back in 1986 and were eventually rebuilt with a kit from Burlen Fuel and the velocity stacks and filters cost about 45 pounds. British che...

Re: 3D printing velocity stacks ..

I'm not quite sure what the intended outcome of this mod is, if it's to get more power out of the engine a set of 2" SU's would be better. I have fitted them along with Guy Broad intakes including high density foam filters. They have been on for the last twenty years and haven't killed the engi...

Re: Adwest Marles power steering box.

A good front brake upgrade are the Coopercraft calipers. I fitted them to my car some years ago, the price has gone up somewhat since then but they are well worth it. https://www.coopercraft.co.uk/index.php/2010/10/kit-2-billet-aluminium-non-vented-front/ The 420 calipers from recollection are not a...

You will need the stat that uses a shield to block off the bypass slot.

So sorry to hear this, he will be sorely missed as his knowledge and enthusiasm for our cars was immense. My thoughts are with Patricia and family.

Re: Fibre or Copper washer?

Does this happen with both pumps/tanks? Just thinking one pump might not be shutting off and over pressurising the system and overwhelming the float needles.

Re: Marles varamatic steering box

That's interesting Glyn that the Polybush items failed but as you say your conditions are different to the UK. Did anyone contact Polybush and let them know how their products performed in SA? Maybe they need to think about this and produce a sutable compound for the export market. It would be inter...
