My dome anti drumming pads have been there since 1965 so no issue there. Maybe you should send a message to Dynamat & ask the valid question & your concerns about adhesion long term.
Many restorers do apply Dynamat to the dome so I suggest you ask Dynamat for preparation instructions if you choose to go there.
You have a post approx mid 66 car with the panel headlining centre. This would mean you would not have to do a very neat & flat job. For those of us with earlier cars where the foam backed Union Cloth headliner is glued to the dome the anti-drumming pads have to be perfectly attached with neat seams taped over or you will have visible lumps in the roof lining.
This is why I did not blast my original pads off of the dome.
