From what I remember you disconnect the wiring from the motor. The motor is held on to the inner wing by a couple or three bolts. To disconnect the wiper motor cable tube you have to go inside the car and remove the dash top. This allows you access to the inside of the bulkhead where the wiper cable tube joins onto the spindles. There is from memory a sleeve nut on the end of the tube and you undo this which then allows you to slide the tube back through the bulkhead with the motor attached.
Trying to dismantle the wiper motor whilst still attached to this tube in the engine bay is a nightmare. Springs, circlips, washers and old grease everywhere. This is best done on a bench whilst taking photos of which parts go where is easier.

Can anyone tell me the procedure for removing and fitting a new wiper motor?
