I'm also an XJC 4.2 Manual + overdrive.
I purchased it running in 2011 but there were several problems, like rattling valvetrain, some floor rust and more to come.
I was a newcomer in the antique car world and in the Jag world as well.
There I made friend afterwards.
It's now acceptable but far from being concourse.
Opalescent silver grey over biscuit.
Veneer is excellent but front seats leather in need of care.
Driving correctly after a head restoration.
Probably now in need of an inlet manifold gasket fault because of steam but only for a few seconds and only after a short stop and warm start.
