it seems that seat belts and radios were supplied by BMC to the USA West Coast distributor.

Interesting array of hardware. South African built S Types had Britax belts.

good idea to match the webbing to the interior color. Makes sense.

my front Lap belts are also more or less color matched to my cream interior, the receiver buckles have BMC gold metallic stickers on them.

I am planning on moving the front lap belts to the rear seat, and purchasing 3-way belts for the front seats, since my car came ready for them, there is a chromed bolt on the B pillar.

Rewebbed seat belts

by Orlando St.R » Thu Dec 06, 2018 2:10 pm

Last week, I had my seat belts re-webbed using the original hardware by Safety Belt Services of Bedford (http://www.safetybeltservices.co.uk). I chose this not-very-period maroon, because it matches the exterior colour (and my 'winter' carpet mats). They turned them round in a day!

The old ones were black - or rather grey after they had faded over the years. They were also getting rather frayed in places.
